About Me

Smudge Dog Media, created and Founded by me, Louis Youde, a Saint Helenian with a passion for Videography and Photography. Starting my journey from a young age, my love for dance was the center of my videos. As my interest in videography and photography developed so did my skills behind the camera. Whilst pursuing my dreams of travelling the world, I offered tour companies video work in exchange for tours, landing my first successful client in the Amazon Rain Forest in Ecuador. After 9 months of traveling and an unfortunate event of a stolen camera, I returned to my roots on the Island of St Helena. I purchased a new camera and settled into Island life once again. Here, in the heart of the South Atlantic, capturing the rugged beauty of my homeland and warmth of its people, Smudge Dog Media was born.
